Dr Brendan Cronin is an ophthalmologist with subspecialty training in cataract surgery and diseases of the cornea and anterior segment. He grew up on the Gold Coast and moved to Brisbane to study Medicine at the University of Queensland where he completed his degree with honours. He completed his specialty ophthalmology training in Brisbane and then undertook further subspecialty training in laser eye surgery and diseases of the cornea at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital in England.
Dr Cronin consults at the Queensland Eye Institute’s two locations – South Brisbane and Clayfield. He performs all of his surgery at South Brisbane Day Hospital in South Brisbane. He is involved in training registrars in Queensland and has published articles in numerous international peer reviewed journals. He is regularly involved in international clinical trials and holds worldwide patents involving collagen cross linking.
